5 Reasons Why You Should Choose Brazilian Waxing
Brazilian Waxing shot right into the
spotlight when Carrie got the skinny in one episode of Sex and the City. Since
then women are coming in regularly to have their “Brazilian” too like it was a
much needed hot oil. But what really is the deal with Brazilian Waxing compared
to the traditional bikini waxing method? And why is it strongly preferred by
many?
YOU GET COMPLETELY BARE DOWN THERE!
A bikini wax is fine; however it only
removes the hairs that run outside of your bikini line. Some women prefer to have
more taken at the sides and have some shaving at the top. So for those who want
to go ultimately bare, a bikini wax would certainly make the best option.
The procedure can remove all the hairs in
your pubic region so you don’t have to worry about those unruly pubic hairs
embarrassingly peeking out of your bikini. You can go as skimpy as you want and
put those Victoria Secret models to shame without a follicle of hair to betray
you!
YOU CAN GET COOL DESIGNS TOO
If you want to go all creative and spontaneous,
you can actually have the salon leave some hairs behind and fashion them in a
shape of your choice. You could have your initials, a butterfly of maybe keep
it simple with a plain rectangular strip left behind.
MORE HYGIENIC
Since a Brazilian wax removes every strand
of hair in your pubic area, it keeps it clean and fresh. The presence of hair
can also be a good breeding ground of bacteria which could produce some smell.
It is also aesthetically pleasing, which is
why Indian and Persian women have been practicing this since ancient times. You
also don’t have to worry about hairs sticking out of your bikini or the bikini
line. Just remember when Miranda’s attention got called by Sam in the movie
version of Sex and the City. The lady looked like she was not growing a shrub
but a forest, which was not really unbecoming to behold when one is wearing a
swimsuit.
IT IS SEXIER
A lot of women get a Brazilian waxing
treatment done because they want to feel better about themselves when
undressing. Some women even claim that this makes them feel more confident and
sexy in bed. Some even bluntly say that it also improves sex. Adding to this,
there are also men who prefer woman going all skinny down there.
IT’S FAST AND THOROUGH
Unlike your typical bikini wax where your
pubic hair is only carefully fashioned to follow your bikini line, a Brazilian
wax just removes everything. No fuss, no muss, it just leaves you totally
hairless not unless you request to have a strip or a triangle daintily created
on your pubic mound.
The procedure is fast because the removal
is done in one go whereas the bikini wax would have the aesthetician trim and
remove the hairs on both sides.

To Wax or Not to Wax Your Legs!
![]() |
| To Wax or Not to Wax your Legs! |
The important thing about waxing is that you
remove your hair at the right length. For leg waxing, it is best that it is at
least a quarter of an inch long. This is long enough for easy removal, and it
is short enough not to be that painful. Longer hairs have the tendency to drag
that is why they it hurts upon removal.
If your leg hairs are too long, you can
trim these using clippers. It would be advisable to opt out of using scissors
because there is a tendency that it could cut the hairs too short.
After you have carefully trimmed your leg
hairs to the appropriate length, make sure that you cleanse it thoroughly. This
prevents any infection and irritation from occurring. You can use pre-waxing
cleansers followed by dusting some loose powder over the area. Remember, no
body lotions prior to waxing.
Applying a toner or astringent over the
area will also allow the pores to tighten creating a firmer hold on the hairs.
This can make the removal process less painful because it prevents skin
dragging.

Waxing kits come in two variations. Its
either you can have it hot or cold. A hot wax is better for grabbing hairs,
while a cold wax is considered to be more hygienic than the first. Make sure
that you carefully read the instructions on your waxing pack. Cold waxes no
longer require spatulas for application, while hot waxes would need a wax spot,
spatula and cotton strips.
If you are using hot wax, make sure that
you first test a small amount over your leg to ensure that it is no longer
piping hot, which could result to burns.
Also to make hair removal from the legs
much easier, it would if you apply the wax and remove it according to the
direction of the hair growth. Going against the grain will be more painful and
irritating.
When applying the strip, you should always
take note on where to place some leftover strip on which you should hold on to
pull. If the direction of your hair grows from left to right, you would leave
extra on the left side.
In pulling, you need to hold your skin
taught first to ensure easy removal that is much less painful. Before you
remove the strip, you need to firmly press on it to ensure that the hairs have
fully stuck to the piece of strip. With a swift motion, you then remove the
strip.
It is highly likely that there will still
be a few hairs left, so you have to go back to keep the results clean and
thorough. For a better outcome, you may have to go around your leg about 4-6
times.
Worried about the pain? Well that is
understandable because waxing can be rather uncomfortable, but to reduce the
sensation you can always take analgesics such as ibuprofen before the
treatment. It is also best if you have your leg waxing done after your period,
because your body is more sensitive weeks prior to menstruation.
If you want to maintain soft and silky legs
after waxing, you can do so by regularly exfoliating your legs while on the
shower. You can use bath salts or loofahs to help get rid of dead skin cells.
But a very important word of caution
though, if you have diabetes, varicose veins or poor circulation in the area,
you are not advised to do some waxing. You should also be very careful if you
have been using anti-acne medications because these have the tendency to make
the skin more sensitive. If you are regularly using anti-acne meds then you
should put your waxing treatment off for a few weeks after you stopped the
medication.
Waxing can have its benefits over shaving. The
latter may be simple and less expensive, but it exposes you to larger risks for
poorer outcomes. There is a good chance that you can get nicks and cuts, which
could affect the overall aesthetics of your legs, basically beating the reason
for shaving. But if you really want to get safe and excellent treatment, you
can always go to your trusted salon for that quality leg waxing treatment.

Getting Your First Brazilian Wax? Know These 5 Preparation Tips
Brazilian waxing shot right up to fame when
the sassy ladies of Sex and the City got their intimates the sexy makeover. Today
getting shaven all the way is just like having your armpits waxed as well. It
keeps the bikini line free from unruly hairs peeking out. But you just don’t go
and get yourself a “Brazilian” without really preparing yourself. It’s not like
prancing into a salon and have your nails done. In order for you to get the pleasing
results that you want.

Should you decide to get a Brazilian wax,
always come in prepared with what it is all about and what you can expect about
it. If you are reading this then you are on the right track. Also, research
will help you to find the best places where to get one and how you can make
your experience less painful.
This will also allow you to schedule your

Brazilian Waxing Phililppines- LESS IS MORE? |
Shave
You might be raising eyebrows thinking why
in the world you should shave your hairs down there when you want to have them
waxed. The reason for this is that the hairs should be at a certain length so
that the procedure won’t be so painful, because if it is too long the hairs
could end up being dragged when removed.
Experts say that your pubic hairs should be
as long as your eyebrows or approximately a quarter of an inch for optimum
results. Shaving and allowing it to grow for at least three weeks will make the
removal swift and less painful.
Take a Shower
This is a no brainer if you are one who is
truly concerned about hygiene. It would also be decent to wash your intimates
first with mild soap and water. Aside from keeping it clean and fresh, this
will also stimulate the pores to open up making the process of hair removal
much easier.
Buy Numbing Creams and Prepare Pain Medications
It helps to have a numbing cream on hand
and apply it an hour before you get your Brazilian wax. Apply it on the inner
portion of your thighs and over the pubic region. Taking a pain medication such
as Advil will also help make the procedure more bearable. It can also help to
control the swelling.
Wear Something Comfy
You don’t want to go for a Brazilian waxing
treatment on skinny jeans or leggings. This is a time doesn't really call for
something fashionable, but comfortable. After your treatment, the bikini area
will be very sensitive and tight clothing won’t do any help. So put on your
silk panties and opt for dresses or loose pants.

How to Choose a Good Nail Polish?
![]() |
Avoid nail polish which contains the big
three.
If you want to ensure that you are
protecting yourself from toxic and harmful substances, you should check your
nail polish for three things. These are formaldehyde, toluene, and dibutyl
phthalate(DBP).
Exposure to this by way
of inhalation alone within just 15-20 minutes can already cause a variety of
reactions such as dizziness, skin reactions, fatigue, breathing problems and
many others. With these chemicals in your nail polish exposes you to absorb
these toxic substances, which are also known to be carcinogenic. DBP is also
even linked to reproductive problems in pregnant women who are exposed to this.
So the next time you hit the store or visit your salon carefully choose those
safe varieties of nail polish.
Opt for organic.
Did you know that there are nail polishes
that are organic? Yes, there are companies that actually develop organic nail
polish. It does not contain the harmful chemicals that are present in typical
nail polish, and it is even safe to use for pregnant mothers.
Opt for water-based nail polish.
Water –based nail polish is more advisable compared to solvent-based one because these are less toxic. These are also gentler on the nails because it is less drying and harsh. Water-based nail polish also does not produce volatile organic compounds which can be observed by strong smells.
Keep it longer with Mineral-based nail
polish.
Although it does not contain the same range
of safety as its water-based counterpart, mineral-based nail polish has more
staying power. This means that you avoid getting those chips that would cause
you to constantly change your nail polish in a month. This can be damaging to
the nails in the long run. In fact it is advised that you should only change
your nail polish twice in a month at most.
Choose your color according to the
occasion.
When you choose a nail polish, make sure
that you do so based on the occasion that you are going because these too can
communicate what you are as a person. For instance, if you are going for an
interview, it is advisable to choose nude or neutral colors. For parties, you are
safe to go with bolder hues.
Choose nail polish with added formulations.
Aside from getting the extensive variations
of color, also choose a nail polish that contains a nail strengthening formula.
Those who have dry, brittle and sensitive nails can certainly benefit from this
without depriving themselves from wearing their favorite colors.
Choose your nail polish according to your
skin tone.
If you have a lighter skin color, dark
colored tones would give nails that oomph. This will make it stand out more. So
when getting a manicure or a pedicure, choose those nail polish that have a
blue base. Striking reds can also enhance the look of your hands. For those
dark-skinned individuals, you have a wider range to choose from because every
color is appropriate. But you should avoid colors that come close to your skin,
such as bronzes and light browns.
